Jumping from one thing to another will be your biggest downfall. Everywhere you look people will be telling you to start a Youtube Channel or to start doing TikTok videos.
Video marketing has a place and I will get to that in just a moment.

Let’s first start with the easiest way to earn money online and that is with affiliate marketing. If you are new to internet marketing you may not be familiar with this particular business model.
So let me quickly explain to you just how it works.
As an affiliate marketer all you have to do is refer people to someone else’s products and companies pay you a commission. A good example is the Amazon Associate program where you will receive a commission if someone clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase.
A lot of people use the Amazon Associate program to make some extra money but I do not suggest you start trying to earn money online with their affiliate program. The main reason is the commissions are far too low and there is too much competition.
Affiliate marketing is a six billion dollar a year online business and it is growing every single year in my opinion it is one of the best ways to earn passive income online.
So that is why I’ve listed as the number one method.

Before you join an affiliate program you need to first chose a niche market to focus on. For example the top three markets where people spend money online are health and fitness, relationships and how to make money.
Out of those three niche markets the most profitable is the health and fitness niche which also includes weight loss as well. Everyone wants to look better and feel healthy and this is a hot niche for you to be in.
If you do your market research, you will discover that the health and fitness market is a multi billion dollar a year industry and growing. And with most affiliate programs that you join, it is pretty easy to start promoting other people products for some extra cash.
Of course you just can’t post your affiliate link anywhere, you will first have to attract targeted prospects that are interested in the product you will be promoting.
If you are looking for how to make money online for beginners, then seriously consider affiliate marketing as your starting point.
2: Start A Blog To Help You Make More Money.
There are a number of ways for you to attract targeted prospects but some methods will require more effort than others. You don’t need your own website but you will be a lot more successful if you have one.
Before we get to that, let us first discuss some different methods for driving traffic online.
You have paid advertising like Google or Facebook ads, or you have free traffic methods like blogging, Youtube and TikTok. As well as Facebook posts and Instagram.
If you want to create passive income online the best way is to create free content that can be picked up by the search engines. Setting up a blog on your own website should be your first step.

Here’s why it is important to start a Youtube Channel, the main reason is because it is the second largest search engine next to Google.
Which will help you rank for search intent when people type in their searches in Google or on Youtube. People searching for a solution are more likely to make a purchase online.
You can also earn money with Youtube’s monetization program after you reach 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time.
Although 4000 hours sounds like a lot it can happen pretty quickly if one of your videos starts getting traction.
You can also post affiliate links in your video description and mention them in your videos. I have made money online using this method and it definitely works and it only takes a few hours.
4: Create A TikTok Account.
TikTok is also a good source of traffic but it is not based on search intent like Youtube or Google, so a different approach is required to generate traffic.
But after you get one thousand followers on TikTok you can post a link to your website to build your email list. You can learn more about email list building in another post.
That is why I suggest starting with your own blog first because it make it easier to build your online business when you do things right from the start.
Your blog should be your main hub where you send traffic from your other social media accounts to build your email list.
You can also make money with the TikTok creator fund but you will first have to gain 10,000 followers and 100,000 views of your videos before you can apply for it.

If you enjoy writing there are quite a few large blogs also known as authority sites that often higher freelance writers to create content for them.
All you have to do is choose a niche that you have an interest in and contact some well known sites in your niche market, to see if they are looking for any content writers. Freelance writing is a great way to make more money on a part time or full time basis.
Besides earning money for your article writing you can usually post a link back to your main blog in your author’s bio section which will give a boost to your blogs SEO.

If you enjoy working with audio then this is another avenue you could explore. There are tons of podcasts in just about every niche, so it should be pretty easy for you to reach out to a few creators.
Just create a short paragraph highlighting your skills and reach out to a bunch of different podcasters. Make sure you charge enough to make it worth your while.

And it sure beats data entry or test websites which you will see others recommend. Avoid those methods as well you should avoid the urge to sell stock photos.
